Postmortem on a LiveEDU Live Stream Project (Part 1)

The past couple of months I've been live coding a project at [LiveEDU]( As I get ready to wrap up the project and start some new endeavors I'm taking a moment to think about the LiveEDU service itself and what I did well or could have done better.

...aaand the night train is 44 minutes late. Fuck me.

@hackerhasid @PhilMurphyNJ They do this already. The conductors won’t come around today and pick up tickets. But if you pay for a monthly pass you’re just screwed. Now if they pro-rated the next month baseded on how many days their trains were late. That would be awesome...and also bankrupt them

I pay $451 a month for the privilege of standing next to a toilet on a non moving train, that was 20 minutes late getting to my stop, while the conductor makes announcements over a speaker that doesn’t work. Cc @PhilMurphyNJ

@NJTRANSIT_NEC I like how you tweet this 11 minutes after the train was supposed to depart. Even your twitter account is late.

It's been a long, difficult day, everyone. But let's all take a moment to be thankful that we didn't give the power of the presidency to someone who once used a personal email address to send a work email.

@jasonaalejandro Since every other letter we get from his school is written in comic sans he probably thinks it’s a very official font.

My oldest is sending me email now. He’s adjusted his font to be comic sans and I’m not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, he’s 9 so it’s ok…on the other it’s fucking comic sans.

Did you ever work on something so long that you’re not sure if it’s awesome or crazy, but it’s probably a little of both. That’s my new flex grid system here… #css

Conductor keeps getting on the PA system saying something but because the train is old AF the PA isn’t working. No idea what the hell the guy just said.

You just can’t catch a fucking break with @NJTRANSIT get on an express train then 10 minutes into the ride...surprise we’re a local train now.
